Summer Reading

I'm taking this book on my upcoming trip to Vermont: Margaret Sanger's Eugenic Legacy: The Control of Female Fertility, by Angela Franks (McFarland and Co., 2005).

I always get a kick out of people accusing the Catholic Church or "Christian white males" of "being afraid of women's fertility and sexuality." The Catholic Church never tried to get me on birth control pills but Planned Parenthood passes them out like Chicklets. They seem to be the ones who are fearful. Why so many people still consider Planned Parenthood a charitable and humanitarian organization I'll never understand.

Several book readings and signings by the author, Angela Franks, will be held in Washington at the following locations:

August 18, at 7 pm
Marcus Whitman Hotel
Walla Walla, Wa

August 23rd
Holy Cross Church, Tacoma
5510 N 44th St.
Tacoma, Wa

August 24th
St. Cecilia's Church, Stanwood
26900 78th Ave. NW
Stanwood

Call Myron Miller with quesitons at 800-473-6175 for events in Seattle, Tacoma, and Stanwood.

1. You've been spammed!

2. The slogan "Keep your rosaries off my ovaries!" always confused me, since the Catholic Church isn't the organization obsessing with ovaries. It's PP in a perpetual panic that some woman, somewhere in the world, might be ovulating.

1. To the trashcan!
2. So true. At the end of the day they really just hate the biology of women.

They want women to be men. Men don't ovulate.
