More than 1,000 suits against NuvaRing may go to trial this fall

Sandra Fluke call your office.

The deadly side-effects of contraceptives and chemical abortifacients posing as contraceptives have been known for some time so why won't the people hawking this stuff warn women?

Constitution 1, Rob McKenna 0

Oops. Rob McKenna bet on the wrong side yesterday.  Rob McKenna believes allowing people to refuse to participate in murder is a violation of the Constitution and Judge Leighton smacked him down.

Court upholds pro-life pharmacists’ objections to dispensing abortifacient contraceptives.

We applaud the court's decision because it was the right one. AIW was at many of the Board of Pharmacy hearings and covered the controversy in-depth. We provided the only public reporting on the incestuous business relationships between Planned Parenthood of Western Washington, the UW School of Pharmacy/Don Downing, Barr Labs, the Board of Pharmacy and the governor of Washington. ALL of them colluded against pharmacists (and others) who said, "Plan B kills and we don't want to be part of it."  Specifically, they targeted Christians and people of conscience.

WE TOLD YOU SO. And the court agrees with US. He sent everyone involved in the selling and promotion of the snake-oil known as Plan B out the door.

Seattle Archbishop Urges Catholics to Fight Against Unnatural Unions and Insurance Mandates

In a very grave violation of our religious liberty, the proposed abortion-insurance mandate before the Washington State Legislature similarly would place the Church, Catholic health care and all Catholic organizations and employers in an absolutely impossible situation.
We, the bishops of the Archdiocese of Seattle, have an obligation to make you aware of the seriousness of the situation and to ask for prayer and action to turn back these efforts to deny our constitutionally guaranteed right to religious liberty as a church. In generations past, the people of God, the Church, has always stood up to protect our sacred rights. Today we are again called upon to stand up for these rights. We will do so as loyal Americans and loyal Catholics.

Contraceptive pushers and Big Pharma continue to lie about safety of contraceptives

I got this unusual piece of spam last night. It read:
Severe Side Effects of YAZ Yasmin and Ocella
Important Lawsuit Info
Birth Control Injury Alert!

I knew there were ongoing lawsuits against these pill makers but decided to do a search to see what was up.

Searching on these terms given in the email provides a plethora of legal websites offering help.

I discovered at one site that at least 50 women had died from using these pills. I was most interested to learn that Bayer was reprimanded by the FDA for false and misleading advertising; the same thing manufacturers of Plan B were reprimanded for.

Read more for yourself here:
http://www.yaz-birthcontrol-lawsuit-news.com/YazSideEffects.html

Seems like all these people can do is lie to women to make a buck. I wonder if they figure in the cost of lawsuits when they price these drugs.

For the 123,361,635th Time: Contraceptives don't prevent abortion

Another post for the "We told you so file."

Plan B was a racket from the beginning.

Don Downing, UW professor of pharmacy and bed partner with NARAL Washington, couldn't stop blathering about "a second chance at preventing pregnancy" and lowering the abortion rate. It was always the come on we said it was. In the end he went home richer after betraying his fellow pharmacists to the state's abortion industry to say nothing of the women he's hurt thru his shameless promotion of Plan B and contraceptives.

Yes, Don Downing and Naral and Planned Parenthood are getting their way but they can't have it both ways. They will be told exactly what they are doing.

Another Study Shows Negative Side Effects of Oral Contraceptives on Women's Health

A new study shows that OC use by teens can reduce a woman's bone density. It also notes that "[c]hanges in bone density in oral contraceptive users depends on age and hormone dose." This is especially important information for teen users of OCs.

As an article from Group Health Cooperative in Seattle noted, "A woman's risk of fractures later in life is influenced by the bone mass she gains in her teens through her 20s, and this age group has the highest use of oral contraceptives. "The teen years are when women most actively gain bone, so we thought it was important to look at that age group," says Scholes."

Seattle, WA—Birth control pills may reduce a woman's bone density, according to a study published online July 13 in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism by Group Health Research Institute (GHRI) scientists. Impacts on bone were small, depended on the woman's age and the pill's hormone dose, and did not appear until about two years of use. The study size and design allowed the researchers to focus on 14- to 18-year-old teenagers, and to look at how bone density might change when a woman stops using the pill.

State Politicians Continue to Interfere in Women's Bodies and Lives

The Washington state House and Senate voted to increase funding for Take Charge Program. The bill will make the state's "Take Charge" family-planning program available to families earning 250 percent or less of the federal poverty level. Currently, it is available only to families earning 200 percent or less of federal poverty levels.
From what we read in the Kitsap Sun article the debate was predictibly banal.

We've said many times on this blog: Get the government out of women's bodies and lives. Quit interfering in their reproductive choices and health.

But no. The busybodies in Olympia and the state's sex planners just can't seem to quit their puritanical chatter about "health" and "safe sex" while demanding more money for their bizarre social experiments. Puritanical because the people running and supporting Planned Parnethood have a fanatical obsession with other people's sex lives and a rigid adherence to making sure everybody has sex within the rules outlined by Planned Parenthood.

No other organization on the planet, not even the usually hoisted strawman of the Catholic Church, is so singularly obsessed with who's sleeping with who, how they are doing it, how many times, where and when. Quite frankly Planned Parenthood has probably ruined the sex lives of most Americans with the mechanization of sex and constant interference discussion by the government, media, and educators, etc.

In their email blasts before the votes PP rolled out a  blackmail threat -- "vote for family planning or the poor get it" -- I hadn't seen that tactic before but it was sure to appeal to dim-witted democrats, Malthusian republicans and cowards of all stripes. "For many families who are barely hanging on, family planning is a lifeline; an unintended pregnancy can result in hunger, homelessness, or worse."  Worse? Are you kidding? Do these people think the poor can eat condoms?

Internal Documents Show Planned Parenthood Abortion Numbers Skyrocket

As the national debate over ending government funding of Planned Parenthood assumes center stage, a move which we at AIW have been encouraging for several years, the abortion chain insists through its surrogates throughout the mainstream media that even though they're the country's largest perpetrator of premeditated murders in the form of abortion, their real interest and focus is on prevention.

But now we have obtained internal documents from Planned Parenthood of Central Washington (PPCW) that show the brutal truth.

Washington State Senators Keep up Fight for Abortion Industry, vs Scientific Accuracy

Senator Patty Murray (looking a little surprised
and confused ... not surprisingly
)
Washington State's two leftist 'lady' Senators never seem to miss an opportunity to be on the most extreme position of any issue.

Despite a $14 trillion debt and $1.6 trillion deficit, Senators Murray and Cantwell today voiced their opposition to Republican attempts to try to find even a few hundred million dollars in savings, and to get the government out of women's private, reproductive lives.

Murray, recently determined to be the most liberal Senator, and routinely voted the dumbest, repeated the left's bedrock belief that contraception reduces abortion rates.

This belief may vie with Darwin's Origin of Species as virtual Canon Law for the Sexual Left, so it must be restated: it's absolute baloney.

Miss Cantwell, who has never married and has no children, joined her much ridiculed colleague Mrs. Murray in failing to acknowledge the recent study out of Spain which showed that while contraception use rose from 50% to 80% over a 10 year period, the abortion rate doubled!

This finding came as no surprise to those of us who believe in scientifically and medically accurate sex education. In fact it is 100% consistent with the abortion industry's own research, which says that 54% of women getting abortions were using birth control the month they got pregnant.

We contacted both Senators for comment and to ask them if they would at least support the GOP cut to funding of Planned Parenthood, the state and country's largest provider of abortions, and active participant in countless crimes and scandals.

We're still waiting.

Gregoire Restores Funding to Planned Parenthood, Cuts Billions Everywhere Else

Confirming once again that the Washington State Governor's Mansion is little more than the Olympia office of Planned Parenthood, Governor Christine Gregoire just decided to preserve the state's "Take Charge" free birth control program.

We have exposed how the program, now in its 10th year, has done almost nothing to reduce the rate of unwanted pregnancies, births to low-income women, or abortions, but has become a massive, multi-million dollar slush fund for Planned Parenthood affiliates of Washington.

As everyone now knows, the state has been facing a budget deficit in the billions, and state legislators have been forced to cut spending on a host of health and education programs, even those which are widely supported, and which help the truly sick and destitute.

The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) gave Gregoire a list of programs for possible elimination. The Take Charge program was in that list, raising hopes that the scandalous scheme would be eliminated once and for all, and abortion clinics would start closing immediately.

But, alas, Gregoire decided to cut the state's Basic Health Plan, which covers 66,000 otherwise uninsured Washingtonians, rather than cut birth control payments to Planned Parenthood.

She cut the Children’s Health Program, which was helping 27,000 kids. But Planned Parenthood's sacred cow was untouched.

She chose to eliminate Disability Lifeline grants to 28,000 people each month who are temporarily disabled and who can’t work, rather than cut the Planned Parenthood CEO Cadillac plan.

She chose to eliminate the Disability Lifeline Medical Program, but not the Abortion Industry Slush Fund.

Gregoire cuddling former NARAL
director Karen Cooper
She thought it better to reduce in-home Medicaid personal care, which benefits 45,000 people, who will now have to look elsewhere for assistance with bathing, dressing, medication management and other activities. But the Planned Parenthood spendapalooza? Not on your life.

She slashed public education funding in every direction. But free birth control that essentially ends up as millions of dollars in Planned Parenthood's Abortion Clinic Expansion Program was off the table.

You get the idea.

"Take Charge" -- which is exclusive to Washington State, and started in the George W Bush administration -- is an 'experimental' Medicaid program which provides a year's supply of birth control to women who would normally be ineligible for Medicaid because of income at taxpayer's expense.

Most women enrolled in the program get their contraceptives through Planned Parenthood, so it is this organization which ends up getting paid. PP makes huge profits on oral contraceptives sales, and so the program has been a cash cow for them for a decade.

For example, in 1998, Planned Parenthood of Western Washington was pulling in about $5m each year in program revenue. Ten years later, in 2008, that figure had rocketed up to over $25m. In their 2006 annual report, they admitted that fully 70% of their clients the previous 5 years had been Take Charge participants.

PPWW has used these millions in revenue to expand their network of clinics, all of which provide or abortions or at least close the abortion sale.

Defenders of the program argue that all those women on free birth control adds up to fewer unplanned pregnancies, fewer Medicaid-paid births, and fewer abortions. As hard as it may be for contraceptive ideologues to accept this, the numbers are in, and the truth is just the opposite.

In 1999, before the program, Medicaid was paying for 32,000 births each year, at a cost of less than $200 million. Now it's 42,000, at a cost of over $330 million.

Before the program began, Medicaid paid for over 10,000 abortions in Washington. At the program's peak, that figure crossed 14,000, with Planned Parenthood doing an increasing share of those. It's not known how many abortions PPWW was committing back in 1999, but the figure grew from about 6,000 to about 9,000 at one point during the program, due in part to their massive new reach.

King County Public Health Hires Doctor who "Loves" Doing Abortions

You may recall that King County's Public Health Department was recently embroiled in controversy because it was revealed that they had helped a teenage Ballard High School student get an abortion without her parents' knowledge.

After that story broke across the country, TJ Cosgrove, spokesman for KC Public Health, stunned the nation by saying he was completely unapologetic about the incident. He added insult to injury by adding that the girl's mother should have known this could happen when she had signed a general waiver allowing emergency medical treatment and transportation.

We have since learned more about KC Public Health's radical pro-abortion agenda. It seems that each year for the last several years they have hired one of the region's most outspoken and enthusiastic late-term abortionist as their primary "Family Planning" contracted physician.

Dr. Deboray Oyer owns and operates Aurora Medical Services, which does abortions up to 19 weeks of pregnancy. Those are fully formed, thumb-sucking babies.

Speaker Pelosi’s “Birth Control Stimulus” Could Worsen Washington State’s Budget Crisis

Contact: Mary Emanuel
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 27, 2009

Seattle, Wa, JAN 26, 2009 --- The independent web site Abortion in Washington reacted to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s defense of “stimulating the economy with more birth control” by saying, “Speaker Pelosi simply hasn’t looked at the numbers, which clearly show that despite giant subsidies to the state’s single largest supplier of birth control, abortions are up, as are Medicaid funded births. Pumping more deficit spending into birth control would be a disaster for the state’s budget and women.”

Abortion in Washington released several reports in 2008 on the Washington’s Take Charge program and the finances of Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest (formerly Planned Parenthood of Western Washington). The site reports that the program has led to increased abortion and is costing the state millions in funds it promised it would save. One report shows the number of abortions performed by the program’s leading partner, Planned Parenthood of Western Washington, has been increasing 11% per year and jumped a shocking 16% from 2006 to 2007, to a record 9,059. Additionally, the cost-savings effects intended by the designers of the program are not being realized.

Take Charge is a Medicaid section 1115 Waiver program initiated in 2001 to provide free contraceptives to low-income women not already covered under Medicaid. It was originally funded for 5 years in 2001, then extended for 3 more years, and comes up for renewal in 2009.

When the program began, the state was paying out $200 million a year for childbirth services under Medicaid. That figure has shot up 50%, to $300 million under the program. The state of Washington is now at a point where almost half of all births in the state are paid for by Medicaid.
“We need to put some sanity back in to our state finances as well as our public policy toward women and children,” said Mary Emanuel, assistant publisher of Abortion in Washington.

The state of Washington encourages the widespread use of contraceptives on the theory that with more women using contraceptives the number of unwanted pregnancies will decline, thus leading to a decline in the number of high cost Medicaid-paid births. Contrary to the justification for the program, this has not turned out to be the case. Additionally, further harm has been created because birth control does nothing to prevent the rampant spread of STD’s.

Pelosi Supports More Transfer of Wealth to Planned Parenthood

Is this woman stupid or what?

As we've shown on this blog, (Remember we just do this in our "spare time". Imagine if we got paid to do this!) whether it's Plan B or old-fashioned birth control pills -- these transfers of wealth are nothing but cash cows for Planned Parenthood. Furthermore, they cost the state money in increased abortion and birth costs.

The only thing this will "stimulate" is more out of wedlock pregnancies, abortions, damage to women's health, expense to the state, STD's and neutered men.

Washington's Family Planning Experiment Sees Increased Abortion, Medicaid Costs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Ending Family Planning Programs Would Cut Costs, Decrease Abortion

Seattle, Washington -- An analysis of Washington state’s Take Charge pilot program reveals an increase in both abortion and tax dollars spent on abortion and childbirth services. The investigation by the independent web site Abortion in Washington shows the number of abortions performed by the program's leading partner, Planned Parenthood of Western Washington, (PPWW) has been increasing 11% per year. Additionally, the intended cost-savings are not being realized.

Take Charge is a Medicaid section 1115 Waiver program initiated in 2001 to provide free contraceptives to low-income women not already covered under Medicaid. It was originally funded for 5 years in 2001, then extended for 3 more years, and comes up for renewal in 2009.

“The state is facing serious financial challenges. The last thing we need are government programs that do more harm than good and are actually failing to deliver the promised benefits”, said Mary Emanuel, assistant publisher of Abortion in Washington.

When the program began, the state was paying out $200 million a year for childbirth services under Medicaid. That figure has shot up 50%, to $300 million under the program. The state of Washington is now at a point where almost half of all births in the state are paid for by Medicaid.

“Taxpayers are supposed to be saving money and there are supposed to be fewer abortions but with this program we are seeing the exact opposite,” added Emanuel. “With the tight budgets King County and the state government are facing, ending family planning programs like Take Charge at Community Health Centers would be a win-win for everybody.”

The contraceptives are distributed through Planned Parenthood offices as well as Community Health Clinics on the theory that with more women using contraceptives the number of unwanted pregnancies will decline, thus leading to a decline in the number of high cost Medicaid-paid births. As the data shows, this has not been the outcome.

"Given the budget crisis facing government at all levels, ending this taxpayer largesse to Planned Parenthood is long overdue," said Dan Kennedy CEO of Human Life of Washington.

It seems that the only one benefitting from Take Charge in Washington is PPWW, which has seen their annual revenues skyrocket from about $17 million to near $35 million. (Download a .pdf of PPWW's 2006 IRS 990 form here.) A spokesman for PPWW admitted earlier this year that it had indeed used the profits from the Take Charge business to open up new abortion clinics. Planned Parenthood’s own annual report reveals that fully 70% of their 150,000 client visits were funded by Take Charge. The state is then left to cover the cost of an abortion or a Medicaid birth. Planned Parenthood is under investigation nationwide for Medicaid fraud in the illegal profiteering from contraceptive sales.

40th Anniversary of Humane Vitae

This week the Catholic Church celebrated the 40th anniversary of Pope Paul VI's encyclical Humane Vitae. Catholic or non-Catholic, love or hate the Church, everyone should read it for a full understanding of what the Church actually teaches and to help form your own conscience on contraception.

Here is one of the most prophetic sections of the encyclical:

Consequences of Artificial Methods
17. Responsible men can become more deeply convinced of the truth of the doctrine laid down by the Church on this issue if they reflect on the consequences of methods and plans for artificial birth control. Let them first consider how easily this course of action could open wide the way for marital infidelity and a general lowering of moral standards. Not much experience is needed to be fully aware of human weakness and to understand that human beings—and especially the young, who are so exposed to temptation—need incentives to keep the moral law, and it is an evil thing to make it easy for them to break that law. Another effect that gives cause for alarm is that a man who grows accustomed to the use of contraceptive methods may forget the reverence due to a woman, and, disregarding her physical and emotional equilibrium, reduce her to being a mere instrument for the satisfaction of his own desires, no longer considering her as his partner whom he should surround with care and affection.

Finally, careful consideration should be given to the danger of this power passing into the hands of those public authorities who care little for the precepts of the moral law. Who will blame a government which in its attempt to resolve the problems affecting an entire country resorts to the same measures as are regarded as lawful by married people in the solution of a particular family difficulty? Who will prevent public authorities from favoring those contraceptive methods which they consider more effective? Should they regard this as necessary, they may even impose their use on everyone. It could well happen, therefore, that when people, either individually or in family or social life, experience the inherent difficulties of the divine law and are determined to avoid them, they may give into the hands of public authorities the power to intervene in the most personal and intimate responsibility of husband and wife.

Remember, this was published in 1968. Does anyone doubt that these prophesies have come to pass.

Our state and nation promote the chemical sterilization of women through billions and billions of dollars given to Planned Parenthood and all the government agencies that push contraceptives on the American public. We also have massive overseas "family planning" programs under the auspices of the UN, USAID, World Bank and other governmental agencies that push contraceptives as tools to "fight poverty" and "promote security". Have we not given "into the hands of public authorities the power to intervene in the most personal and intimate responsibility of husband and wife"?

Where are the libertarians, athiests, free-thinkers, demanding the government stay out of our personal lives?

This last week we were treated to news that "pro-choice" Commissioner for Public Lands, Doug Sutherland, was accused of, and admitted to, basically feeling-out a female subordinate and alluding to meeting up with her at her field office.

Yuck.

In his "pro-choice" contraceptive/abortion soaked mentality it seems as thought Mr. Sutherland has forgotten "the reverence due to a woman, and, disregarding her physical and emotional equilibrium, reduc[ing] her to being a mere instrument for the satisfaction of his own desires."

Where are the liberals, feminists, and pro-choice libertarians aghast at this clear violation of a woman's freedom and her body?

The Contraception Deception

Not since the editorial board came out in support of partial birth abortion has the Seattle Times published such a wicked and shameful editorial. The editorial – Lift the Plan B Ban – is wicked because it willfully and haughtily lies to people about Plan B and misrepresents the pleas of the pharmacists who refuse to sell it. It is shameful because at a time when the public needs factual information about this drug in particular, how it came to be on the market, and the Constitutional issues surrounding the cause of the pharmacists we are given trite, shop worn propaganda about “women’s health”.

Enough.

There is no Plan B “ban”. Plan B and contraceptives are ubiquitous. They are in our schools. Advertisements for them litter the pages of glossy magazines. Our politicians, even those claiming “pro-life” credentials support their widespread distribution. The combined Planned Parenthood affiliates of Washington received about $20 million dollars from the state of Washington for the purchase and distribution of contraceptives in 2007. They are there for the asking. There are two maybe three pharmacists in the whole state who do not want to sell this product.

Plan B is not a prescription drug. Plan B is sold over the counter. No trip to the doctor is necessary. No prescription is required. It was after the granting of OTC status that sales of Plan B went through the roof. Doesn't sound like a "ban" or a lack of "access" to me.

Plan B is not health care. Plan B is an overdose of the steroid hormone progesterone. The makers and promoters of Plan B claim that for every 100 women who have unprotected sex one time during the second or third week of their monthly menstrual cycle, 8 of them will get pregnant. But if those same 100 women use Plan B, only one will get pregnant. Their hook is the claim that "Plan B reduces a woman’s risk of pregnancy by 89%." What very few people have bothered to notice or point out is that in this scenario 92 women have taken a drug that they didn’t need and unnecessarily exposed them to high levels of steroids. This is basic health care for women? Are we back to selling snake oil?

A debate over the First Amendment is not a “red herring.” This battle is part of the larger crisis facing the country: the loss of the rule of law under the Constitution and the ensuing creep toward totalitarianism. That every branch of our government would collude with Planned Parenthood and big business interests of the pharmaceutical companies to coerce private citizens to violate their conscience in the pursuit of unbridled profit and power should concern every citizen. That the media is complicit only makes this battle all the more acute.

John Senior, in his book the Death of Christian Culture, said it best, “If truth is nothing but opinion, then right springs from the barrel of a gun.”

The Northwest Women’s Law Center, Seattle Times, Planned Parenthood of Western Washington, Professor Don Downing of the UW School of Pharmacy, and the Washington State Board of Pharmacy have not once addressed or corrected these errors and concerns. Instead they keep repeating the words ‘access’, ‘women’ and ‘health care’ like some magical prayer.

The so-called "free press" for its part has done nothing to inform the public as to background on this drug and who is driving it in the marketplace.

Plan B was initially developed in part by an investment from Planned Parenthood of Western Washington and approved by the FDA in 1997. PPWW sold their interest in the drug to Barr Laboratories in 2004 when Barr agreed to pay a total of approximately $21 million, including approximately $9 million of assumed liabilities.

Professor Don Downing of the UW School of Pharmacy came on the payroll of Barr Laboratories to get Plan B into every pharmacy in the nation and secure distribution without a doctor’s prescription by “leveraging” boards of pharmacy. (That's what the Seattle Times means when it says, "...pharmacists have been key partners in strengthening women's access to contraception".)

Professor Downing was also one of the biggest proponents of using Plan B to “prevent abortion.” A lie based on fantasy, which has sadly become apparent as nations like the United Kingdom and states like Washington see their abortion rates increase.

Since Plan B went OTC Planned Parenthood of Western Washington’s profits from the sale of birth control have skyrocketed from $0 just three years ago to an extraordinary $7m. This is on $2m of merchandise. In other words, they bought $2m of merchandise, and turned around and sold it for $9m, pocketing $7m in pure cash.

In abortion jurisprudence and media coverage of abortion there’s something called the “abortion distortion”. All laws, commentary and public policy on abortion are twisted and distorted to accommodate abortion to the point that keeping abortion legal takes precedence over any and all other concerns. What we have now is a “contraception deception.” If the Court rules against the pharmacists next April I’m afraid the deception, and coersion, will only get worse as every law is scrutinzied to ensure it supports the contraception agenda that will ultimately take precedence over the Constitution and the health of women.

Big Abortion Partners with the Big Box: The Planned Parenthood - Wal-Mart Collaboration

PLANNED PARENTHOOD SELLS SEX AT WAL-MART

Washington, DC (26 June 2008) – Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in the country, has teamed up with a Wal-Mart Supercenter, an affiliate of the largest retailer in the country, in an effort to supersize their campaign to sell sex to children.

Planned Parenthood will pass out information at the Wal-Mart in Richland, Washington from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 27.“Planned Parenthood is now in such desperate need of customers it’s willing to do anything – even stand outside shopping centers to lure young people into its clinics,” said Marie Hahnenberg, a researcher for American Life League.

Planned Parenthood, Hahnenberg says, is responsible for the deaths of over 289,700 babies in 2006 alone and also recently was willing to accept donations earmarked specifically for the abortion of black children. The organization faces lawsuits across the country for protecting child rapists and is coming under increasing fire for its use of pornography in tax-subsidized programs, advertisements and literature.

“They’re pushing pornography and contraception onto young children – beginning in kindergarten. Now parents aren’t even safe to go shopping without worrying Planned Parenthood will pressure their kids into promiscuous lifestyles that will increase their bloated birth control and abortion profits,” Hahnenberg said.

American Life League is asking community members to call Wal-Mart at (509) 628-8420 or 1-800-WAL-MART and demand they stop Planned Parenthood from this literature distribution.

Spokane Pharmacist to Testify Against Birth Control Pills

Protest the Pill Day '08 -- From Pharmacists for Life International and American Life Leauge

As we prepare for Protest the Pill Day '08: The Pill Kills Babies, several pro-abortion groups are in an uproar over this event. These groups are claiming that there is nothing wrong with the birth control pill and they do not want to admit that they are doing anything immoral. They attack our effort as "unscientific." Organizations such as Planned Parenthood have been lying to young women and will not admit that the pill can actually kill preborn babies! Hundreds of blogs have hotly debated Protest the Pill Day '08 since we launched the web site http://www.thepillkills.com/ and The Pill Kills Facebook Group.
Our web site makes the case quite clear and the facts simply speak for themselves.

On Friday, June 6 at 9 a.m., American Life League will hold a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. ALL, along with Pharmacists for Life International and Pro-Life Wisconsin, will educate the country about how the pill can, in fact, kill preborn babies.

Dr. Marie Anderson, an obstetrician-gynecologist at the Tepeyac Family Center in Fairfax, Virginia, will be one of the medical experts speaking at ALL's press conference. Dr. Anderson joins a panel of experts who will make short statements and take questions on how the birth control pill kills human beings in the womb.

Jodi Wagner, R.Ph. CACP, a member of Pharmacists for Life International, is traveling from Spokane, Washington and will share her personal testimony on why she could no longer fill prescriptions that included drugs with abortifacient effects.

Peggy Hamill, director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, will be speaking about the battle to educate her state on the deadly effects of the pill. This state has a total of at least seven scheduled protests for June 7.
The pill does kill! This information is nothing new; we are simply raising more awareness and want to educate others on this fact. And we need YOUR help!

We are less than two weeks away from the first annual Protest the Pill Day. You still have time to organize peaceful protests outside facilities that distribute the birth control pill.

Remember, all 855 Planned Parenthood facilities across the country distribute this deadly poison.

ALL has the resources for you to participate in this event: "The Pill Kills" T-shirt, sign, "Talking Points" and a flyer you can use to promote your local protest! Visit the web site and you will be able to download the flyer and "Talking Points" for free!

Please e-mail us at protests@all.org or conscience@pfli.org if you plan to participate.
