HB 2448: Promotes Sodomy, Sex, and Secularism to Pre-Schoolers...

...Oh, and making sure a two year old can balance on one foot briefly.
That's the gist of what's in HB 2448.

Here's what Research Mom says about the bill:

HB 2448 will create and fund the complete takeover of childcare from pre-birth to age five, at which time mandatory Kindergarten takes place. Starting with the funding of a “voluntary” Washington Preschool Program and phasing in birth through three year olds, the plans will eventually create a regulated school system with performance standards, one-size-fits-all outcomes, and assessments for all children birth to five. The Department of Early Learning (DEL) 2011-2014 Strategic plans reveal that this “high quality” government early learning system will provide programs that include prenatal care, health, nutrition, social-emotional mental health development, parent/community partnerships, and required college degrees for all providers. (pg 7)

You can find the curriculum for the children in the handbook called “Early Learning and Development Benchmarks”.  This manual lays out a set of one-size-fits-all outcomes that all children are expected to attain at each stage. 

City of Seattle Seeking to Renew Funding for Abortion and Contraception thru Families and Education Levy

A concerned citizen alerted us to a Seattle City Council meeting happening tonight, Thursday, at 5:30 pm in downtown Seattle   (See here for details.) At this meeting a renewal of the Families and Education Levy will be discussed. Citizens will be given two minutes to speak.

This is the levy that facilitated the abortion of a Ballard High School student last year.

This is the program that funds the so-called health clinics and pays the salaries for the busy-bodies that sell abortions to teens. Maybe your daughter will end up at the Group Health abortion clinic. Don't worry, she'll be safe behind the bullet proof glass. Oh, and by the way they are happy to put your daughter on cancer causing contraceptives behind your back. No questions asked!

Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce Promotes Planned Parenthood Abortion and Teen Sex Agenda

Walla Walla Chamber of Commerce magazine promotes PP intimidation tactic

We received word from a STOPPer in Walla Walla, Washington, that the local chamber of commerce is supporting Planned Parenthood’s intimidation campaign, Pledge-a-Protester, by carrying a story about the “success” of the campaign in the Chamber’s magazine, Valley Business News. Through Pledge-a-Protester, PP hopes to dissuade protestors and at the same time raise money for its failed programs, asking for contributions based on the number of protesters who show up at the PP facility.

Gonorrhea Cases Down 96% Since Planned Parenthood Kicked Out of Cowlitz

Well, the numbers are in, and Cowlitz County -- which had the highest rates for gonorrhea in the state just 3 years ago -- has cut that number by an incredible 96% in two and a half years.

How did they do it? While public health officials claim not to be able to explain the staggering drop, the fact is that just as the climb corresponded with the how long Planned Parenthood had had a clinic in Longview, so too the drop coincides perfectly with their departure.

We reported on these pages in early 2008 how the Cowlitz County Commission had finally severed all ties with the abortion clinic chain after the controversial organization had refused to operate on the county's terms. At that time, Planned Parenthood and its leftist supporters had whined about what a "terrible" decision this was, given the county's status as having the highest gonorrhea rates for any county in Washington.

The assumption was that somehow having a Planned Parenthood helps reduce STD rates.

But we have the data now, and we know that PP and all its allies in government and academia have been completely discredited.

Cowlitz County had 15 reported cases of gonorrhea in 2003, about the time PP arrived. That steadily climed until it reached a peak of 223 in 2006. It was early 2007 that Planned Parenthood announced it was going to "have to" close its Longview clinic for lack of funding. This was a posturing move to try to get more money out of Cowlitz taxpayers. In the end, the county commissioners stood firm.

In 2007, with no PP around, the gonorrhea rate fell in half to 2007. In 2008, the rate plummeted to 38. And in the first 5 months of this year, there have been only 3 reported cases! That compares to 26 for the corresponding period of 2008.

That's a 90% drop.

This data is extremely important as the Pasco City Council considers whether to allow Planned Parenthood of Central Washington to open an abortion referral clinic and drive-by contraception stand next door to an elementary school.

Anonymous sources have indicated that some of the swing votes on the council are susceptible to the notion that because Franklin County has relatively high STD rates, somehow having a Planned Parenthood would help bring those down. This despite the fact that there is not one scintilla of evidence available from the Planned Parenthood affiliates of Washington, or their friends at the Department of Health or the Department of Social and Health Services to back up this assumption.

The Pasco City Council would do well to pick up the phone and make a call to the Cowlitz County Department of Health. Today.

PLANNED PARENTHOOD SELLS SEX AT WAL-MART

Washington, DC (26 June 2008) – Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion chain in the country, has teamed up with a Wal-Mart Supercenter, an affiliate of the largest retailer in the country, in an effort to supersize their campaign to sell sex to children.

Planned Parenthood will pass out information at the Wal-Mart in Richland, Washington from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 27.“Planned Parenthood is now in such desperate need of customers it’s willing to do anything – even stand outside shopping centers to lure young people into its clinics,” said Marie Hahnenberg, a researcher for American Life League.

Planned Parenthood, Hahnenberg says, is responsible for the deaths of over 289,700 babies in 2006 alone and also recently was willing to accept donations earmarked specifically for the abortion of black children. The organization faces lawsuits across the country for protecting child rapists and is coming under increasing fire for its use of pornography in tax-subsidized programs, advertisements and literature.

“They’re pushing pornography and contraception onto young children – beginning in kindergarten. Now parents aren’t even safe to go shopping without worrying Planned Parenthood will pressure their kids into promiscuous lifestyles that will increase their bloated birth control and abortion profits,” Hahnenberg said.

American Life League is asking community members to call Wal-Mart at (509) 628-8420 or 1-800-WAL-MART and demand they stop Planned Parenthood from this literature distribution.

Government Crackdown on Abstinence Educators and Curriculum Begins

The WA State Dept. of Health has reviewed the SHARE [abstinence] curriculum and found it to be unacceptable for classroom use. They submitted a list of “errors” that needed to be changed before it could be reviewed again. Some of those changes were:

· Not talk about abstinence until marriage but only address disease and pregnancy issues.
· Tell teens about perfect and typical condom use even though typical use is more accurate .
· Don’t talk about intimacy/attachment because there aren’t any studies on them at the CDC.

These are just a few of the things the DOH thinks need to be changed. Some of them certainly can be looked at again but none of them are inaccurate at all.

How long is it going to take the public to wake up to the fact that the state of Washington and OSPI does not care about our kids?
